A Little Bit About Me
As a therapist, I strive to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to explore their personal challenges. My approach is deeply collaborative and client-centered, meaning I work alongside my clients to understand their unique experiences and goals. With a background as both a registered nurse and a marriage and family therapist, I bring a diverse skill set to my practice, allowing me to tailor my therapeutic methods to the needs of each individual, couple, or family I work with. I believe in the power of healing that comes from exploring not only the present struggles but also uncovering the root causes of those challenges, allowing for lasting transformation and relief from symptoms.
I am passionate about helping people find genuine healing, understanding that this is a process. Whether working individually, with couples, or with families, my goal is to provide compassionate care while guiding clients toward improved emotional well-being and healthier relationships. I utilize a variety of trained therapeutic techniques to ensure each client receives a personalized treatment plan that addresses their specific needs and fosters long-term healing.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Bethel University in St. Paul, MN and a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Bethel Seminary in St, Paul. I worked for 10 years as a Registered Nurse in several different capacities, including work at home and abroad in diverse medical settings. Upon completion of my Master’s Degree, I have worked as an outpatient therapist specializing in grief, loss and trauma in a variety of outpatient settings. I am licensed by the state of Michigan as a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (#4101007457).
